How do I enroll?
Enrollment takes less than 5 minutes: verify your eligibility, complete a health questionnaire, verify your identity, and schedule your first visit. You can pause and resume anytime.
Is my information private?
Your employer never sees your individual health information, weight, lab results, or medication details. They receive only aggregate, de-identified reporting on program participation. Your clinical record is protected under HIPAA.
How much does this cost me?
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your employer's benefit setup. Most members pay a copay at the time of medication pickup; some employers also cover visit costs in full. You'll see your specific cost details before you confirm anything.
Am I eligible for the Onsera program?
Eligibility is determined by your employer's benefit design and clinical criteria reviewed during your intake. You'll complete a short eligibility check during enrollment, and our clinical team will confirm whether the program is a fit during your first visit.
What if I need to talk to someone between visits?
You can message your care team directly through the app. Coaches typically respond within one business day; clinical questions are routed to your clinician.
How often will I meet with my care team?
You'll have regular clinical visits (typically monthly during dose adjustments, then less frequently once stable) and option to receive coaching support between visits.
What happens in my first visit?
Your clinician reviews your health history, lab results, and goals, then discusses whether GLP-1 medication is appropriate for you. If it is, they'll prescribe it during the visit and explain next steps. Visits are conducted via video.
Who are my providers?
You'll work with a licensed clinician (MD, DO, NP, or PA) for medical care and a dedicated coach for behavioral and lifestyle support. Both are part of your care team and have full visibility into your progress.
What if there's a medication shortage or backorder?
We monitor supply across our pharmacy network and will notify you proactively if there's a delay. Your clinician may also discuss clinically appropriate alternatives if needed.
What's my copay and when do I pay it?
Your copay is calculated based on your benefit design and shown to you before the prescription is released. Payment is collected through the app and your medication ships once payment is confirmed.
How long until I get my first prescription?
After your first visit and prescription written by your provider, expect your first shipment within 7-10 business days, depending on your benefit type and shipping address. We'll keep you updated through the app at every step.
Where will my medication come from?
Your medication is shipped to you from a partner pharmacy, depending on your employer benefit set up, you will either receive them via shipment to your home address, or collect at your pharmacy of choice. You'll see exactly how your fill will work before your first order.
Which medications does Onsera prescribe?
Onsera prescribes FDA-approved GLP-1 medications for weight management, including options in the Lilly and Novo Nordisk drug families. Your clinician will recommend what's clinically appropriate for you based on your health profile and your benefit coverage.
Can I take this with my other medications?
Your clinician reviews your full medication list at your first visit and flags any interactions. Always tell your care team before starting a new medication or supplement.
When should I contact my care team about a side effect?
Reach out anytime you have a concern. You can contact your care team within your app through the messaging portal. Onsera is not an emergency service, for any urgent clinical concerns please call 911 or go to your nearest urgent care facility.
What side effects should I expect?
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal - nausea, constipation, or reflux - especially during dose increases. Most are manageable and improve over time. Your care team will help you navigate them with practical strategies.
Do I need a scale or other devices?
A connected scale is provided as part of the program so your care team can track progress without you needing to manually log weight. Use of the scale is encouraged but not required.
Request to delete your account
Deleting your account will end your Onsera programme and remove your access to your care team, care plan, and visit history. Your clinical records will be retained as required by law. Active prescriptions and any scheduled visits will be cancelled. This can’t be undone. How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account anytime in the app under Settings, which will create a request for deletion for our support team to review and action on.
What happens if I change jobs or lose my benefit?
If your employer-sponsored benefit ends, your care team will notify you about transition options. You will be informed about the transition timeline, after which, you will no longer be able to access your care team, the app or receive prescriptions.
How do I update my insurance, address, or payment information?
You can update your profile and shipping address anytime in the app under Settings.
